A case related to the patent for device of collecting cows’ bio-data
Regarding the patent for a capsule type device, which diagnoses cows’ disease by collecting their bio-data, U company filed for an injunction for the prohibition of patent infringement against the Rural Development Administration and D company, and the company, which manufactures the targeted products, took action against this through an invalidation trial. AIP won the invalidation trial, and Kim & Chang, which represented U company, dropped the injunction case. Regarding the trial for confirming the scope of the right, there is an appeal lies against the decision, which ruled that the Rural Development Administration has no benefit of confirmation. Also, the invalidation trial is pending because the patent holder appealed.
