A Glass, Japanese company sent a cease and desist letter to L Electronics, a prominent domestic company, alleging that L Electronics used A Glass’ patented glass for electrode coating in the dielectric layer of PDP TV. At that time, L Electronics was being supplied with the glass for electrode coating from P, a medium-sized electronic material company in Korea. L Electronics required the supplier to solve the patent issue. AIP, which represented the medium-sized company such as P, analyzed the technical features of the patent for a glass composition invention, adequately found the present inventions to invalidate those technical features, and finally, succeeded in invalidating all of A Glass’ related patents, and thereby cleared the obstacle for domestic small and medium-sized enterprises in their channels of sales.
