However, AIP, representing Miwon, appealed the case. During the proceedings, Kim & Chang sought to increase the compensation to several billion won, but AIP maintained their argument that Miwon was not liable for any damages. The Court ruled in favor of AIP, dismissing all claims made by TK Chemical in the first trial.
